The location is unbeatable, mere steps from public transport and a variety of eateries. The little fridge in the room is a handy touch. The free water station truly makes hydration convenient.
Rooms are on the smaller side, which can feel claustrophobic, especially during longer stays. The noise from the street is hard to ignore—if you're a light sleeper, that morning delivery truck is bound to wake you up. The lack of adequate storage or furniture is disappointing, making it tricky to settle in comfortably. The shared bathrooms, while generally tidy, can be hit or miss in cleanliness. Also, the beds can squeak uncomfortably. it's a distraction, to say the least.

I enjoyed my stay in the Single Room with Shared Bathroom. The hotel's unique decor added to its charm. The noise from other guests occasionally disrupted the peace. A rewarding experience amidst New York's vibrant art scene.

The staff at Flat Nyc were incredibly professional and attentive throughout my stay. The location was excellent, with easy access to the subway and nearby restaurants, making it convenient for my work commitments. The shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and I appreciated the complimentary water bottles available at all times.
The room was quite small and the bed was very squeaky.

Couples should consider this one
The staff was helpful. One time a lady even went out of her way to guide me to the nearest store when I needed something. The lounge they have downstairs was great, I think it should stay open at night for drinks.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for what you get it was still tolerable.

Helpful staff and a memorable atmosphere
I had a fantastic stay! The staff were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to assist me, especially when I needed to freshen up before my meeting. The location is unbeatable, nestled in a quiet area yet close to major attractions and excellent dining options like Eataly. The unique design of the hotel added a charming touch to my experience, making it feel special and different from typical stays. I do wish there were more reception hours during late evenings to ease any late check-in concerns.

Perfect spot for a short NYC stay!
Came in for a quick solo trip and wow, the staff were super nice at check-in! The location was perfect—close to subway lines and just a short walk from Penn Station. My room was small but clean, and the private bath was a nice touch. Only hiccup? No bedside outlets to charge my phone while I slept, which was kinda inconvenient.

I enjoyed the handy location of Flat NYC. Being close to major attractions made my sightseeing easy. The staff I encountered were super friendly and professional, making me feel welcome. The bed was comfy, which is a must after long days exploring. However, there were some downsides. I faced an issue with the shared bathroom situation – it broke down, leaving us with one toilet for three days. That was frustrating since we had to wait in line often. Also, the room lacked storage options, which made it uncomfortable. I had no wardrobe or dedicated space for my things. Climbing to the third floor without an elevator was tough, especially with luggage. It might not be ideal for everyone, especially those with mobility issues.
